Passionate About Inspiring Others

James Arrieta was born premature, weighing only 3 pounds 6 ¾ ounces.  Doctors didn’t think he was going to make it and spent many days in the NICU.  At a young age, he was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and didn’t walk until he was 2 years old.  Before he could walk, he got around using a fierce Army crawl.

James’ family refused to let his disability stop him from living his life.  He attended weekly physical therapy sessions and his supportive family encouraged him to do things.  He attended school with others his age, he played sports (baseball, soccer, wrestling), and was a typical ornery, mischievous boy.

At the age of 5, James had a heel cord lengthening surgery and his fondest memory about that surgery is having casts from his hips to his toes on both legs.  He had another surgery between his 6th and 7th grade year.  This time, it was a heel cord lengthening surgery in addition to a hamstring lengthening surgery.  James remembers starting the 7th grade in casts from below his knees to his toes.  Using crutches, he kept up with students as they navigated the school hallways.

In high school, James was given the opportunity to attend a conference at Colorado State University put on by the National Hispanic Institute, where he learned the legislative process.  James was recognized as Student of the Week by the local newspaper during his Senior year.  James started working at age 16 and has held a job ever since.

At the age of 18, he began a career in banking.  His banking career gave him the opportunity to learn all aspects of the banking world and he earned his first management role in 2008.

James has a passion for helping people and after having his first experience with personal development in 2019, his passion for helping people became much more intense.  He began using his personal development tools and skills with the teams he managed.  This truly helped his team and organization get from where they were to where they wanted to be, both on a personal level and a professional level.

James’ ability to coach people through difficult times and situations with significant breakthrough is due to his experience and passion for people.
